Chile Maple Pecans
Preheat the oven or Traeger Grill to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silicone baking mat.
In a medium bowl mix pecans with maple syrup and the Montana Mex seasonings, adjusting ingredients to your flavor preferences.
Spread pecans on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Bake or smoke for 10-15 minutes, checking and stirring every 3-5 minutes.
NOTE: All ovens/smokers are different and these will need to be monitored to get them perfect. We get best results pulling them from the oven when they have just begun to get the toasted nut smell and taste - they will continue to cook a little as they cool.
Cool and break apart into large or small pieces, and don't forget to save the "crumbs" that are left for dusting or dipping your next dessert!
