Chef Eduardo's French Toast with Brown Butter Sautéed Apples

Imagine waking up to this every morning! Thick slices of french toast paired with incredibly tasty sautéed apples... YUM! Guaranteed to please the whole family (or your date from the night before 😉)

Ingredients

 

French Toast
  • 3-6 thick slices of crusty bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp agave
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • 1 Tbsp Montana Mex Sweet Seasoning
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 1Tbsp Montana Mex Avocado Oil
Brown butter sautéed apples
  • 1 apple, sliced in ¼ inch thick slices
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1Tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Montana Mex Sweet Seasoning

 

Method
  1. Warm saute pan to medium heat.
  2. Melt butter. Then add apple slices, lemon juice and Montana Mex Sweet Seasoning.
  3. Saute until softened. Set aside.
  4. Mix eggs, agave, cream, Montana Mex sweet seasoning and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  5. Place bread slices in mixture to soak for 1-3 minutes.
  6. Warm saute pan to medium heat. Add butter and 1 Tbsp Montana Mex Avocado oil.
  7. Cook soaked bread slices until browned on both sides.
  8. Plate and top with apples and powdered sugar.
  9. Enjoy! Best served with bacon
